The annual Homecoming event is a chance for Leadership Arlington members to reconnect with one another at an interactive seminar focused around a specific, timely topic. The event is a key opportunity for all 800 members to continue their leadership education and professional development. Leadership Arlington's Homecoming event is very popular, with over 100 guests attending annually.
This year's topic will address mental illness in the workplace and its impact on the employer and their workforce. What is the scope and breadth of this issue, and why should mental illness be important to employers and our community? A panel of experts who represent human resources as well as the mental health field will address the legal, ethical, moral and financial implications for the employer. The panel will also address the rights and responsibilities of employees, whether the issue is directly affecting them or their families. Finally, the program will address the implications of Health Care Reform and the impact of Mental Health Parity. Participants will walk away from this interactive and enriching dialogue with a wealth of information that will benefit their organizations and family and friends.
