Leadership Arlington relies on our dedicated volunteers to advance the mission and vision of the organization.  We invite you to participate on a committee!  This allows you to have input into your organization while networking with talented members of all classes.  Your participation is critical to the work and activities of the organization.

Development Committee
The Development Committee is responsible for:
  • creating and implementing overall development program for Leadership Arlington.
  • assisting in the fundraising of the organization, including: company solicitation, ambassador visits and event participation.
  • Committee gives input into marketing for the organization.
     
The Homecoming Committee is responsible for planning and implementing Homecoming Day for the Membership.  This one day of programming is designed to bring together the membership around a topic of importance to the Arlington community.  The committee functions similarly to your “planning team” during your program year.  Committee meets twice in December and January. Event will be held February 14th.
The Leadership Institute of Northern Virginia Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the Leadership Institute of Northern Virginia, a branch of programming focused on building capacity in regional nonprofits. The Committee will actively participate in the planning of both the ON BOARD! Workshops and the Black Belt for Nonprofits Series. In addition, the committee assists in identifying key individuals and organizations that would benefit from ON BOARD! and Black Belt for Nonprofits, as well as customized trainings with individual groups.
The Monte Carlo Night Committee is responsible for creating and implementing the annual fundraiser for Leadership Arlington.  Includes decorations, marketing and solicitation of items for this fun evening.  Event will be held March 17th.
 
The Signature Program Committee is responsible for overseeing the programming class year for the Signature Program.  You will serve on a panel to review the sessions of the planning teams.  The panel will meet seven times during the year.
The Recruitment Committee is responsible for recruiting a qualified, diverse cross-section of the community from all sectors for the class of the following year.
Resource Directors are responsible for overseeing and supporting one day of programming for the Signature Program Class of 2011.  Must be available for training Friday, September 9th (8am-2pm) and the afternoon of Sept. 15th for the Opening Retreat.
The Speaker Series and Skills Workshop Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the 6 Speaker Series/Skills Sessions throughout the year.
The Young Professionals Program Committee is responsible overseeing the development, programming and recruitment of the Young Professionals Program.
The Youth Program Committee is responsible for overseeing the programming of the Youth Program.
