Young Professionals Program

The Young Professionals Program is an initiative of Leadership Arlington that will provide up-and-coming young leaders the opportunity to develop new skills, acquire the resources and knowledge necessary to engage in their community.  Participants will be encouraged to discover ways that they can give back to the community through their “time, talents and treasures.”  To ensure the quality of the participant experience, the program will have a limited class size.

The Young Professionals program is held annually, beginning in late September 2010 with an opening retreat followed by four months of programs focused on skill building, civic engagement and philanthropy. Two sessions will be held monthly during Saturday and Wednesday evening sessions.

Leadership Arlington has developed this new program because we value:

  • Philanthropic awareness of the needs of the nonprofit community;
  • Civic engagement: By understanding the ability to influence change, our young professionals will recognize their potential for impact in the community; and
  • Leadership skills development that is essential for effective organizational, civic, and community leadership.
